Excel like filtering for ListGrid combo boxes in SmartGWT List Grid

It would be good if we have Excel like filtering with the combo boxes for the filters.
As of now we are handling the combo box filters by iterating the grid and placing the available contents in the combo box, but by default if the combo list is populated with the available items present in the grid columns it would be good and ease to use.
