hide empty columns in listgrid

Is there a possibility (maybe also in a future version) that columns in a listgrid are automatically hidden if there is no record with a value in this column?

We have never been asked for that feature before, and it seems like a rare use case, so no, it's not likely to appear as a product feature in the future. However, you can implement it yourself for your application.
