LGPL -> Apache License?

Hi guys,

The GWT toolkit itself is licensed under the Apache 2 License which means that I can use it on Apache Projects. Unfortunately you use the LGPL license and LGPL is still not seen as compatible with the Apache License. Would you consider switching to the Apache License?

Hi Kurt,

The use of the LGPL license was an intentional tradeoff, as it ensures that core modifications are contributed back to the project, or alternatively, that users who need different license terms help to fund the project by purchasing licenses. For now at least, a switch is not being considered.
