Hi there! I need to create a google like search widget for our system.

We have a main VLayout on the top we’ve got the ToolStrip menu of the system
on the bottom, all other widgets will be shown.

The search widget inherits from VLayout, and adds to it self a Dynamic form on top and on the bottom another container Vlayout for the results

and so far this is the code for the results:

protected void renderResults(SearchResults results){
		for(Record r : results.getRecords()){
			Label header = new Label(r.getTitle());
			Label contents = new Label(r.getDescription());
			header.setStyleName("searchHeader");
			resultsContainer.addMember(header);
			resultsContainer.addMember(contents);
		}
	}

The results are not good :frowning: they are really spaced from each other, not anything like we expected.

I’m pretty sure I’m using the wrong components here :slight_smile: Could someone give me a hint?

Got this one by using header.setdefaultWidth();
