How to display a datetime in ISO8601 Standard

Hi,

i have a DataSourceField of Type datetime. It is defined in the ds.xml file:

<field canHide="false" sqlType="timestamp" sqlLength="11" name="DEF_TIMESTAMP" title ="Updated" type="datetime" width="100" displayFormat="toSerializeableDate"></field>

The definition of TOSERIALIZEABLEDATE is yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:SS. In the ListGrid is only yyyy-MM-dd displayed. Any chance to change that? I can’t add a date formatter because i don’t define ListGridFields.

thanks in advance
kissev

ok, now i found it out. It is clearly a bug! ToSerializeableDate doesn’t work as defined (Definition YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS, actual display YYYY-MM-DD). Defining a DateDisplayFormatter and passing it to DateUtil.setNormalDateDisplayFormat works only in a FilterBuilder or FilterEditor but not in the ListGridFiled. And there is no way to change this. I can’t belive that i lost 2 days trying to define a date format and i still have nothing!

Please give me an example how to make it or provide a workaround!!!

Update: DateUtil.setDefaultDateSeparator() doesn’t work too. if I set it, my Application doesn’t start at all

If you believe you’ve found a bug, put together a minimal, standalone test case demonstrating the issue.

Your report of setDefaultDateSeparator() not working at all sounds like you’ve got mismatched SGWT wrapper code and underlying JavaScript. You can create this problem by not following the complete installation procedure.
