Using 2.5.2011-05-08-EVAL

To manipulate Criteria on the serverside and extending our service,
we currently use

 Map<String, Object> initialCriteria = dsRequest.getCriteria();

and later call

 dsRequest.setCriteria(initialCriteria);

For us it would be very helpful to setCriteria back to the dsRequest, in the type of criteria, but not map.

Is it planned to support such a functionality?

It’s already there, a recent addition. See dsRequest.getAdvancedCriteria()/setAdvancedCriteria().
