Field Picker displays and then quickly disappears on IE11

Simply, right-click the header and choose Columns...

The Field Picker dialog appears, but quickly disappears.

Not reproducible. Technically we tested 11.0.14, however, that's very unlikely to be the problem - perhaps you are forcing compatibility view on? Or just need to restart your browser?

Hi Isomorphic,

More than one member of our team have hit this problem with our List Grids, and I independently confirmed with your showcase the same issue. Not an issue with compatibility view either. It might be intermittent, but right now, its reproducible for me every time.

I had a few people try the showcase, only those with this specific version of IE11 and running on Windows 7 are hitting the issue. The others were not.

OK, we'll get a machine configured with that exact patch level. Hopefully MS hasn't totally broken the browser again.. are you seeing any other symptoms from this particular subversion of IE11?

We see the issue and are looking in it. Note that a workaround appears to be to access "Columns" via a left click on the Header Menu Button rather than right clicking on the Header Button itself.

Unfortunately we have uncovered a nasty bug in IE11 where JavaScript code is crashing in a nonsense way, where adding extra no-op lines sometimes corrects the problem, and the crash never actually occurs if you step through in IE's debugger. We have some workarounds we'll be applying, but it's unclear right now how long this will take to fix, or whether it actually can be fixed completely.

We've applied a fix to SGWT 5.0p/SC 10.0p and newer that should prevent the Advanced Field Picker from being unexpectedly dismissed in IE11. It will be in the next nightly builds (dated 2016-03-04).
