Icons in TreeNode displaying as "..." in Chrome after Chrome update.

Hi Isomorphic,

Both internal and external users of our user interface are reporting a behavior change after their Chrome browser updated (no changes with respect to our product).

Our icons in a navigation pane (TreeNode) are displaying as ....



SmartClient Version: v12.0p_2019-02-28/Pro Deployment (built 2019-02-28)

Are you aware of such behavior or a way to circumvent such behavior?

Yes - it's definitely a Chrome behavior change which, so far, we only see causing a problem in Chrome on Windows, where the general Windows zoom-level has been increased from the default 100% - is this the case for your users? If not, please provide browser and OS details.

A fix for the problem on Windows will be added shortly - please confirm your full version and we'll update here when the fix hits builds.

With respect to "confirm your full version", did you need more than already provided above, SmartClient Version: v12.0p_2019-02-28/Pro Deployment (built 2019-02-28)?

Here is some additional information we collected from a sample of those impacted.

Yes, I was already at 100%. Reducing it to 80% fixed the issue. Although the next time, I had to increase back to 100% for it to work.
Chrome: Version 77.0.3865.75 (Official Build) (64-bit)
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.18362 Build 18362

I was at 100%. If I zoom at 80%, the icons are showing correctly. (anything else than 80% does not work)
Chrome: Version 77.0.3865.75 (Official Build) (64-bit)
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Version 10.0.17763 Build 17763

Zoom: 110% (Icons return when zoom is set to 100%)

We've made a change to address this issue in the 12.1d, 12.0p and 6.1p / 11.1p branches
Please try the next nightly build dated Sep 20 or above to pick up the change

We realize we never followed up here. We believe this issue is resolved.
Can you confirm whether you are still seeing it with the current online showcase (or the latest nightly build).

If so, please let us know exactly how you're reproducing it, including details of:
- which sample you are testing with (or a runnable snippet of sample code if you're not seeing this in the showcase)
- which skin you have loaded
- the full version of Chrome you're testing with
- what zoom level you are running at
