I stumbled across this feature (see attached Control Panel Display setting screenshot) in Windows 7 that seems to provide some kind of zoom, outside of the browser itself.

Seems FF is impacted by it, as changing this really had an impact on the size of things within FF.

I did a quick test, and didn't see the clipping immediately once set to "Smaller 100%", so I will keep an eye on it.

This is not an option I have changed, looks like it defaults to "Medium 125%".

for the sake of completeness: These treads are also about system zoom and behaviours/errors when using it.
